Katie's Fourth in Georgia

Katie spent the 4th of July in Georgia visiting my family. She got to play with her cousins (who she succinctly called cousins as in "C'mere cousins!"). She also cheered her crazy parents as they ran the Peachtree Road Race. Afterwards we had a great cookout and went to a AAA Braves baseball game with a fun firework display afterwards. Katie enjoyed it but wished they could make fireworks that weren't so loud.

Later in the week we travelled to my sister Melinda's house near Alabama and floated in their great pool for a few days. We spent a day at a nearby resort named Callaway Gardens and went to a huge butterfly garden, swam at a beach, rode an old train, and saw a circus. It was a day full of entertainment!

It was a really fun trip and it was great seeing everyone. We look forward to our next visit to Dixie, hopefully when it's not as hot.

Here are some pics from the trip. Lots more photos are here.
