Katie loved walking in the park. We couldn't get her to turn around. She wanted to keep walking further away from the stroller. Finally, when the stroller was barely in sight anymore, we had to carry her back.
Katie shares her dad's affinity for dandelions. We both think we should have more of them in our yard (to Nancy's dismay).
One funny side note, we completely underestimated the distance of the run we were undertaking. We parked at the marina on Daingerfield Island and thought it was only a mile or so to Gravelly Point, which we could handle in our sadly out-of-shape conditions. Well... it ended up being nearly 3 miles. So our leisurely, scenic run turned into a 6-mile trek that we definitely weren't ready for. I had to take lots of walk breaks but Nancy managed to run most of it. Very impressive.

Katie jumps for joy at the sight of a dandelion.

She asks if she can join the rugby match going on behind her.

Katie keeps walking and walking and walking (the Capitol Building is in the background).

She applauds the magnificent view.

"Gimme those!"
