Katie on the Cape

Last week we were in Cape Cod with Nancy's Mom for the week. She was a great host and was very patient with all the whining, crying, and spilt drinks (and that was just from me). We had a lot of fun and Katie got to spend a lot of fun beach time with her Aunt Sue, Aunt Sara, Great Aunt Roberta, and her cousins Mike, Mark, and Matt.

We had great weather all week. The highs were in the low-80s and there wasn't any humidity. Katie learned how to lick ice cream and launched herself at any cone she saw. She watched a lot of the Olympics and particularly enjoyed the track events (she would run in place and cheer them on) and the diving (she'd move her head and shoulders like she was learning how to do a triple flip lutz layout thingy). She'd often cheer the athletes on by raising her arms and yelling "Goooooo!" It was very cute but, unfortunately, we didn't catch it on video.

Katie enjoyed swimming in the pool with her Mom and tried to drink the water. She also got to chase some bunnies that lived near the pool. They were too fast for her but now whenever she sees the photo of the bunny, she starts hopping. She also enjoyed playing in the sand and opening and closing all the doors in the condo. If you didn't remember to lock the bathroom door then you were quickly exposed.

Here are some photos from our trip. You can view more photos here.
