Katie receives an award at the end of the school year.
Each teacher awards a Citizenship Award to one child in their class. Katie received it in her class. We're very proud of her! Her teacher had some very nice words for her as well. It's hard to hear so I transcribed her words below.
I selected Katie Thomason. Katie is an outstanding student who always has a smile on her face. She’s a hard worker who, no matter what is asked, puts her best effort into her work. Katie is a very caring student who has followed through on the rules and throughout the year has kept a positive attitude in every situation she has faced. In groups Katie takes on a leadership role and assists others in need. She is always flexible and willing to work with whoever she is assigned. In addition to her positive impact in our classroom, Katie is also an active member of the Green Pandas. Great job Katie. Keep up the hard work and you’ll go far.

I have no idea what's going on in this video but it provides a brief snapshot into a typical night at our house. It also contains a classic "Peter!" groan from Katie.
