Katie plays lacrosse

Nancy and Katie went to an innovative art exhibit at the Renwick Gallery in DC. Nine contemporary artists used entire rooms to set up their visual art.

Nancy took the kids for a bike ride along the Potomac River at Jones Point Park in Alexandria.

The kids skip rocks on the Potomac.

Katie dipped strawberries in chocolate and cut up some melons to create a bouquet for Nancy for Mother's Day. Katie did a great job and it was fun taking her to the grocery store to listen to her think aloud on how she wanted to do it.

A Mommy bird feeds her young outside of Peter's preschool.

The butterfly chapel at Peter's preschool. Caterpillars had been growing in the classrooms and now they are butterflies and ready to go explore the world. It was Pastor Sara's last butterfly chapel. She's retiring to Richmond after spending 20+ years at the church.

A wall can't keep Peter away.

Peter waits for something... probably a package.

Peter's soccer team, the Dinosaurs. George Washington Middle School is in the background. Jim Morrison and Cass Elliot went there when it was a high school.

Katie helps us pick out a new fridge. She was determined to find the right one. And she wants to be in charge of organizing the food in the new fridge.

Harry and Peter

Peter runs a few laps during Katie's charity run at school.

Katie ran somewhere between 2-3 miles. She did great.

Designing fashions for mermaids...

...with her best friend Ellie.

The girls at Jungle Book.

Katie plays the drums during her school's spring concert.

Peter sometimes sleeps in his swimsuit so he'll be ready to go to the pool when he wakes up.

Looking for trouble

Not sure what's going on here.

The pool is open!

Happy to be at the pool

Wheel Day in our neighborhood. The road is closed to car traffic and the kids get to ride their bikes down the long street and enjoy a fun party at the finish line. They've been doing it for over 70 years.

Katie decorated her bike with a Caps theme, even though they had already sadly been eliminated in the playoffs.

She also helped Peter decorate his scooter.

And braided her helmet somehow.

People decorate their bikes, scooters, and strollers. Some were pretty elaborate like this squadron of fighter jets.

Walking home from a fun Wheel Day with our neighbors Simon and Sebastian.
