On Sunday Katie and Nancy made Valentine cards for her school friends and they exchanged cards on Monday. Katie was very excited and wanted to hand them out right away when she arrived at school. Katie made us a very sweet Valentine's card at school by sewing yarn into paper. She also dictated a very nice message inside that is pure Katie. We could definitely hear her voice when we read it. The card said:
Dear Mom and Dad,
I love you so much! It's a Valentine's card. What are you doing today?
Love,
Katie
On Tuesday Nancy was the co-op parent and they celebrated Katie's birthday at school with cupcakes. One of Katie's school friends is allergic to eggs so Nancy cleverly substituted apple sauce instead. Katie helped Nancy make them.
Today has been a flurry of activity trying to get ready for our trip to Jamaica. We have a very early flight but we'll be there by 1pm! My company is generously treating everyone to the trip for having such a good year.

Rusty steals Nancy's seat.

Our princess.

Katie helps Peter put his socks back on (which he loves to wiggle out of).

Nikki and Peter got along great.

I'm not sure about this one.
