My memory of April is fuzzy but according to the photos, it looks like we went to Naugatuck for Spring Break with a day trip to NYC. We spent a lot of time in Central Park, which has become our favorite place to go in NYC with the kids. I think we could spend an entire week just in Central Park.
We went to the Swedish Cottage marionette theater, climbed rocks, went to Belvedere Castle, FAO Schwartz, and the walked down to Rockefeller Center to the Lego Store and American Girl doll store. We tried to go to the observation deck at the top of 30 Rock (where Saturday Night Live, the Today show, and other NBC shows are filmed) but the wait was too long and we were melting down. It was a fun trip and we can't wait to see NYC again.
Back in Naugatuck, we loaded up a big U-Haul truck with Butler furniture and made stops in Scranton, PA and Haymarket, VA before arriving home in Alexandria. It was sort of fun driving the big truck and not caring who was behind me. If someone tried to tailgate me, I'd mutter, "I'm big and I'm slow and I'm not moving anywhere"... which is the same thing I usually mutter when I try to run a road race.

Peter waits patiently in the rain for Katie's soccer practice to end.

Me on tv! Great seats at the Caps game but unfortunately a lousy result (hence the sad/bored look on my face).

Peter loves the inflatable maze near the Del Ray Variety store.

Wheee!

Again! (and again and again and again)

At the summit.

We didn't make it to the Statue of Liberty but we did get to see a slightly smaller version made of legos at FAO Schwartz.

The living room becomes the bedroom when there are no beds in the bedrooms.

Dying eggs for Easter with the Suetas in Scranton.

Just a standard, typical picture of the kids in their Easter clothes sitting on a couch in the front yard. (We moved it temporarily out of the sunroom while we unloaded the U-Haul truck full of Butler furniture).

It's a party on Peter's new bed, which used to be Nancy's bed and her Dad's before that.

Mr Cool at the dentist.

Katie at school with Principal Kinnard on the roof. He told the students that he'd work on the roof if they behaved (or something).

Mowing the yard for the first time with the first lawn mower I've ever bought.

His clothes may say "bedtime" but his face says it's going to be a long night.
