Katie loved being pulled in her sled. The snow was packed down enough for the sled to zip along. It was fun pulling her and hearing her giggle with joy. The sled was moving pretty fast on the downhills but she loved it. She's definitely going to be a roller-coaster enthusiast.
Tomorrow morning we're taking her cross-country skiing with us. She then goes to the on-site day care at noon so we can go up the mountain and enjoy several hours of downhill skiing. At night there is a wagon ride and a torch parade.
We had a great Christmas with Nancy's Mom. Katie loved being with her Grandma Butler. She got to see Santa on Tuesday and then we went to a party with Nancy's wacky cousins, the Doolings, on Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Day, Katie woke up around 9am and then eagerly went downstairs to open presents. She was so excited when she saw all the presents under the tree.
Here are some photos from Christmas. More photos are here.

Katie helps make the Christmas cookies.

The sledding in the Butler backyard got off to a rough start. It was most likely caused by the sled puller's inexperience.

Katie got to see Santa again on Tuesday to tell him she was in Naugatuck this year. She had a lot of other things to tell him too. They had quite a chat.

Katie opens a present. She dove right in and ripped them open.

She looks so much older in this photo. She also looks like she's scolding Nancy for taking the photo. "Mother, put the camera down."
