Okemo Day 3

On Tuesday we packed up and said a sad goodbye to Okemo. On the way out, we found a municipal park in town with a big hill for sledding and a sheet of ice for skating. We pulled Katie in the sled but her excitement waned when her sled puller crashed again, tossing her into the snow. So we ran in the snow for a bit and then strapped on skates for a turn on the ice. She needed a little bit of help to stand up (ok, a lot of help), but she seemed to enjoy it.

We then dried off, grabbed lunch at our new favorite pizza place -- Wicked Good Pizza -- and then hit the road for the 3 hour drive back to Naugatuck, CT.

Katie and I begin the elusive Russian Snow Stomping Dance by walking to a suitable spot in the snow.

We then begin the dance’s intricate interplay by circling each other.

Then, when the moment is right, we stomp our feet in the snow!

We complete the final step of the elusive Russian Snow Stomping Dance by waving to the spectators who were lucky enough to witness something amazing.
