Arrivee en Paris!

We made it! After a looong flight to Paris and what felt like an even longer train ride from the airport, we finally made it. We arrived around 2pm Paris time (8am EDT). The flight went really well. Air France was great. They fed us two good meals and didn't charge us for check-in baggage. Each seat has its own video screen and a great selection of movies. You can also monitor the flight status (current location on a map, speed, altitude, outside air temperature, etc...) on the screens. I watched "The Hangover" (about a bachelor party gone awry in Vegas) and Nancy watched "Julie and Julia" (about Julia Childs). Katie was a little too wound up initially to go to sleep but she finally did and got the most sleep. Nancy and I got only about an hour or two of sleep each which meant we were ready to crash when we got to the apartment but Katie was fresh as a daisy.

After a short nap, we went for a stroll around the Latin Quarter and Notre Dame. Katie fell asleep in Nancy's arms during the walk so we stopped at a bistro for dinner and a few glasses of wine. Now we're back at the apartment about to go to sleep.

It's raining here in Paris and is supposed to for the rest of the week. Hopefully there will be enough breaks in the rain for us to stroll around the city.

Here are some pictures we took quickly tonight. We'll have better ones tomorrow hopefully.

Katie tries to eat an enourmous "Kids Burger" (seriously) at Dulles Airport before our flight.
