A Big Week

The first week in October was full of great moments.  It started with Nancy running in the Wilson Bridge Half Marathon.  How she managed to train for that with her busy schedule, I'll never know.  I took the kids out to cheer her on and we were lucky enough to see her at 3 spots along the course and at the finish line.  It was a cold, damp, and windy day but she did great.  Katie enjoyed having a new medal to play with afterwards.

The next day my hockey team won the championship!  It was a lot of fun except I haven't seen my trophy since I gave it to Katie.  I hope she didn't sell it on eBay.

Then Peter got in on the act by standing up!  He's still a little wobbly and needs to hold something but it's a big moment for lil' Peter.

And finally, Katie continued the big news by losing her 2nd tooth while brushing her teeth.  She immediately declared that this time she wanted a panda bear from the tooth fairy (she got a teddy bear the first time).  That's the danger of giving a big present for the first tooth.  But she quickly acquiesced and was happy to see the half-dollar coins and new eBook the Tooth Fairy brought her.

The week ended with me completing the longest run of my training -- 20 miles!
