Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy came and went and we fortunately escaped the worst of it.  We somehow never lost power and had no flooding in the basement.  The worst part was everyone trying to stay sane while confined to the house for several days.  We managed but were very happy when the rain finally stopped.  Nancy pointed out that this was very different than a snowstorm because you can at least go outside and play in the snow.

Here are some photos of us trying to stay entertained before, during, and after the storm:

Katie wanted to sleep in the tent one night but didn't want Peter to go in it.  Peter, of course, felt differently.  Setting up a tent for Peter calmed things down... for a bit.
