On New Year's Eve Katie tried to stay up until midnight but crashed on the couch around 9:30pm. I knew the odds were long when she asked around 8pm how long until it would be midnight. When I said "4 hours" she then asked if that was enough time to eat a snack. We ended up waking her up right before midnight but she was still groggy. The next morning she and Peter had fun watching the Rose Bowl parade on tv.
Katie's ribbon dance with a special appearance by the little drummer boy. The video has been sped up a bit.
Katie sings a song about Bazooka Bubblegum that she learned in school. "Say what?!?"
Dance party with Peyton (a leftover from Thanksgiving).
Puddle jumping in the neighborhood.
Mr. Droopy Drawers acts goofy in the kitchen and slam dunks his head.

Watching the snow fall

Snowball fight!

Katie's dress that she made with Grammy Butler.

Visiting a nearby house that goes all out for decorating for Christmas.

Eagerly awaiting a yummy snack (probably the peppermint ice cream they made).

Katie enjoys a spa day (Santa brought her a chemistry kit to make all sorts of fun spa things).

Peter tries to get in on the fun.

Birthday breakfast in bed

Peter is focused on the donuts

Catching snow flakes

Watching a water main get repaired down the street. Luckily it didn't affect us too much.

Playing in puddles

Katie wasn't as keen on sharing the bin as Peter was.
