We're about to leave for the beach... as soon as we can figure out how to fit everything in the Saab. It's amazing how someone so little needs so much stuff!
Last night we started packing which made Rusty very nervous. He ended up sleeping in bed with us but instead of curling up at the foot like he usually does, he was up near our pillows. And so far this morning he hasn't let either of us out of his sight. We keep telling him that he's coming with us but he's not convinced yet.
Katherine had a busy week last week but handled it beautifully. She visited her Mom's office, her Dad's office, went out to eat at Luna in Shirlington, and went to several different stores. We're hoping she's so tired that she'll sleep all the way to the Outer Banks (about a 5 hour drive).
My hockey team is in the midst of the playoffs now and I'm unfortunately going to miss one of the games on Sunday while we're away. Scheduling a playoff hockey game on the afternoon of Mother's Day just seems cruel. Some guys might have a lot of explaining to do.
We're outta here! I probably (hopefully?) won't have internet access at the beach but I'll be sure to post plenty o' stuff when we return next weekend.
