Katherine's 9th Week

Today is Katherine's 9 week birthday and she celebrated by going out for shots with her mom. She got 2 in each leg and cried cried cried all the way home. In the car, Nancy could hear little sobs and sniffles from the backseat and said it was so sad. But when they got home, K slept all day which is good because she hasn't slept well the last few nights. There's been a full moon all week which we can see from our bedroom window when it passes over the house around 3am. Katherine has made sure that everyone has been able to see it this week.

Our neighbors Randy and Nicky had a daughter on Friday! Katherine can't wait to meet her new playmate Sophie. She has a lot to teach her about life in Warwick Village. When their 2 year old son Cooper saw his sister Sophie for the first time, he asked, "Is that baby Katherine?" So cute.

Katherine has started making cute little cooing sounds like she's trying to talk. She's had several lengthy conversations with her friend Eeyore. She's been lifting her head a lot more and keeping it up. She's also trying to fit her whole fist into her mouth which could win her a lot of bar bets in college.

She currently weighs 12 pounds which the doc said was good but it's in the 90th percentile which has her mom worried. Her height is in the 75th percentile. The doc said we can start running with her which should be fun... I think.

Katherine is going on her first road trip this weekend to Scranton, PA to see Nancy's sister Sara and her family. We're leaving Rusty at the farm so he can play with his cousins and get some exercise. I'll post some photos and video of the journey when we get back.
