It's a Boy!

Nancy gave birth on Wednesday at 11:38am to a beautiful baby boy. He weighed in at 8 lbs 10 oz (1 oz heavier than Katie) and 21.25 inches (1 inch longer than Katie). Nancy is recovering nicely and everyone is doing fine. Katie is very excited about having a brother and has already visited him twice. During one visit he started crying but Katie calmed him down by shaking his rattle and singing to him. She's going to be a great sister.

My parents have also gotten to know their newest grandson and have been a huge help in watching Katie while we're at the hospital. I don't know how we would have done it without them.

For now, the baby's name is "baby" or "Katie's brother". We'll hopefully decide on a more specific name soon.
